Delete your account
You can delete your Akyn account and its data at any time, from the app or from this page. You have 30 days to change your mind: sign back in and you can cancel. After that, deletion is permanent and we cannot bring your account back.
In the app
- Open Akyn and sign in.
- Go to your Profile.
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
You are signed out everywhere straight away, and the deletion below starts.
On the web
No phone handy, or already uninstalled the app? Enter the email you sign in with. We will write to that address to confirm the request came from you, then delete the account.
What happens, and when
- Straight away: you are signed out on every device, your profile is hidden and push notifications stop.
- For 30 days: your account is waiting to be deleted. Sign back in and you can cancel.
- After 30 days: your personal data is permanently deleted. That is your name, email, photo, uploaded files, chat messages and device identifiers.
- If you are a coach: your programs and coach profile are hidden straight away. Clients who already paid keep read-only access until their program ends; then the program content is deleted.
What we keep, and why
- Your workout and diet logs, streaks and progress, in anonymised form only: separated from you so they can no longer identify you.
- A one-way protected fingerprint of your email and sign-in account, not the email itself, used only to prevent fraud and abuse. Your username stays reserved so nobody can pose as you.
- Payment and invoice records for 8 years, as Indian tax and company law requires. They hold only what those laws need.
- If you are a coach and we still owe you money, your payout details (UPI ID), until your earnings are paid out. Then we delete them.
- Crash reports already sent to Firebase Crashlytics, until they expire on its own schedule.
- Backups that contain your data, until they are overwritten within a further 30 days.
